Developing a range of communication, translation programs that enables Deaf BSL users to engage with any organisation in any sector, is essential. SignTranslate Ltd has invested in research both within the Deaf community and ethnic minority groups to establish 'user pull'. It has also engaged with businesses wishing to improve access to their services.

Initially, focus will continue to drive development in the healthcare sector through the GP and Hospital versions of SignTranslate, to improve Deaf people's access to healthcare services and information.

Further development opportunities for SignTranslate will include improving communications in the workplace, empowering Deaf people at work.

Further ahead, we will be looking at ways to integrate SignTranslate with portable and handheld devices, giving even better flexibility.
