Developing a range of communication options that enable Deaf BSL users to engage with any organisation in the health sector is essential. SignHealth has invested in research within the Deaf community to establish 'user pull'. It has also engaged with healthcare groups wishing to improve access to their services.

Initially our focus will continue to drive development in the healthcare sector, and directly with the Deaf Community through Interpreter Now VRS, to improve Deaf people's access to healthcare services and information.

Further ahead, we will be looking at ways to integrate SignTranslate with portable and handheld devices, giving even better flexibility.
