About Sign Translate
SignTranslate Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of SignHealth (The National Healthcare Charity for Deaf people) was created in 2006.
SignHealth has been campaigning for over 20 years to make real changes in improving access and equality for Deaf people, specialising in mental health. Phil Murden, Managing Director of SignTranslate launched the phrasebook to Primary Care Trusts in England in 2006. The team expanded in 2007 and now includes Bob Grable, Technical Director, Neil Cooper, Business Development Manager and Lauren Besant, Marketing Manager. Roger Hewitt, SignTranslate's Ambassador for the Deaf community has provided invaluable support to the team by presenting the benefits of SignTranslate to the Deaf community as well as certain healthcare organisations in the UK.

In May 2007, SignTranslate Ltd launched "On-Line Sign Language Interpreting" (OLI). All our OLI Interpreters are fully qualified and follow a strict code of practice. By working with interpreting agencies in England Scotland and Wales, we provide a service that meets the needs of local Deaf people. Click on On-Line Interpreting for more information.
